Our Philosophy
Kids Kampus encourages opportunities for discovery for school age children from the age of 5 to 12 while building a foundation of literacy, math, science, and social skills all while having fun. The teachers understand school-age development and present activities that reinforce the school-age child’s need for self-esteem, friendship, rules, self-awareness, physical development, and the importance of routines.
We offer before and after school busing to local schools. Before school children are fed a healthy breakfast and the after school the children are provided a snack; then the teachers help the children with their homework. Teachers also encourage social interaction and exploration with indoor and outdoor play and creative activities. On non-school days they also complete activities that reinforce literacy, math, science, and creativity.
During the summer months Kids Kampus offers the school-age children a summer camp. They are continuously traveling and exploring here at the center and around the valley. During summer camp each week is devoted to a theme in which the children are engaging in social, science, literacy, and creative activities. For example during science week we focus on invention, lab and chemistry influenced activities. During literacy week the children write letters to the soldiers followed by traveling around the world cultural experiences to promote social skills. We believe learning is a continuous activity and always find fun and inventive ways for the children to enjoy learning. Kids Kampus uses the outside events and activities around the valley to encourage learning beyond four walls.
